This just occurred to me: as the paddling/rowing season comes to a close, some of us have been chatting about the XC ski season.🎿 But…what about fall? 🍂🍁 Anyone interested in coordinating group hikes/nature walks to take in the fall colours?

I hope you've seen the info about the ONEC year end celebration dinner and dance at the boathouse on Oct 18th and that many will join?!
Many will likely jump on board closer to the time but we need a minimum number of tickets sold by tomorrow, Sunday Oct 6th, to guarantee our booking with Bytown Caterers (as the board needs to ensure we can at least break even on the event). So please book your tickets now!
I promise to be last on the dance floor Friday 18th and last at the paddling clean up party on Saturday Oct. 19th, where we'll fuel you with snacks and lunch for all. Who else will join John and me in the double double to celebrate this fab season?! See you there! Karen
For those attending the Kettle Island Cleanup on Saturday (a rare opportunity to explore the nature reserve while helping to keep it/our precious river clean; poster attached), don’t forget to register with the NCC (the Nature NCC, not the National Capital Co.) in addition to booking your ONEC boat. While the cleanup event is open to the public, only ONEC paddling members can take ONEC kayaks/canoes; others can take the shuttle boat provided or use boats they own personally. I would be interested in both! Quick question about rowing, is there an official date that the kayaks are put away? Just returning from travelling! I was thinking today is a great day to be out there!
