Great photo. Such a beautiful last week for the Masters’ Program.

Sherry, thank you for being the best coaching (and rowing) partner one could ask for.

So proud of all our returning and new Masters rowers. Such a great season with incredible rowing conditions (thank you Ottawa river), lots of new drills, new gear and the best crew ever. Way-to-Go to everyone who came out to early morning practices to connect with friends and work towards their personal fitness goals.

Has been amazing to see the New Horizons out so many mornings and making an appearance at both the Head of the Madawaska and Head of the Trent (Canada’s largest Head Race - and one of the biggest in North America)! Congrats to all rowers who committed to their summer endurance training and participated (our biggest and best representation yet).

As we head into the fall, make sure you give yourself a well deserved break before thinking about jumping on an Erg at home or the gym.

From “Lessons in Chemistry” which needs to be on everyone’s rowing reading list this fall / winter (thanks goes to Sherry for the recommendation):

“Rowers usually Erg when the water is too rough [or cold], or they had to be timed, or when the coach was in a really bad mood…. Erging had a way of making the worst day on the water seem pretty good.”

Good luck! 😉 and can’t wait to see everyone on the water in 2024!!
