About
ONEC
Located just minutes from downtown and hidden away in forested waterfront parkland, the Ottawa New Edinburgh Club is one of Ottawa's oldest sports clubs, est. 1883.
Offering tennis, rowing, paddling and sailing programming for adults, as well as for children in our popular day camps, ONEC is your place for summer fun and fittness.
The historic boathouse is located just off the forested shoreline of the Ottawa river and our red clay courts are set amid the greenery off the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway.

Our CAMPS
Celebrating 50+ years
of Summer Kids' Camps
ONEC is proud to be a part of providing our kids an incredible camp experience generation after generation. Here's how one of our multigenerational camp families put it: "The ONEC Camps provide a great experience and beautiful natural location on the Ottawa River. My children did the sailing camp 40 years ago, became instructors at the camp and now my grandchildren are there!" ONEC believes that choosing a summer camp is an important decision. For 50 years we have been providing the best possible opportunity for each and everyone of our campers. It is our goal to provide a happy, supportive and safe environment for kids to learn, grow and become outdoor adventurers. ONEC campers acquire social, physical, and life skills, all of which contribute to a positive self-image. Our programs benefit from our camp families that return year after year, become camp counselors and pay forward the same great experience they had as kids at ONEC. Our day camps are small which allows our campers, counsellors and staff to form memorable summer friendships year after year.

Our Facilities
Tennis
Facilities

Our tennis courts are hidden away amongst some of Ottawa's oldest pine & oak trees - only steps away from the Ottawa River. Our seven red clay courts are maintained daily & our hard courts were recently resurfaced. New court LED lighting was installed in 2022.
Waterfront
Facilities

The River House, previously known as the Ottawa New Edinburgh Club Boathouse has reopened its doors after a 5 year renovation by the NCC. ONEC couldn’t be happier to be returning to its special place on the Ottawa River, that it has been proud to call home for the past 100 years!
The historical building is a rare example of a Canadian boathouse that has continuously served its community for a century or more. ONEC Waterfront Sports facilities are closed for the season. We're currently in red season.

ONEC Supports
Safe Sport
We're working together to create inclusive, free community programming. We're here for everyone and fully believe that the Ottawa River should be experienced and shared with all.
That's why we're committed to creating special community programming designed to remove barriers and increase participation for equity-deserving and underrepresented populations in sport.
